InternStaff is offering semester internships for qualified applicants.
InternStaff (www.InternStaff.com) is a company dedicated to providing students & recent grads with internship opportunities. The site is owned and operated by recruiter, and author of the step by- step internship development guidebook, The Internship Success Guide, Marsha Harris.
This winter, the InternStaff internship team will be focused on increasing the visibility of InternStaff and www. InternStaff.com by developing and implementing a marketing plan using social media, and guerilla marketing techniques.
We're looking for individuals who are creative and want to be involved in growing a small company. You will get the opportunity to wear many hats and work on many exciting projects. This program will provide you with hands-on experience. You will develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills necessary for success in the business world.
These are virtual internship opportunities. As a virtual internship, all work is done outside InternStaff’s office - wherever you are most comfortable (e.g. from the comfort of your dorm room or campus library) have the flexibility to balance school, friends, family and work. There are no set times to work except for scheduled weekly meetings.
The Virtual Internship Program is:

Marketing Positions:
1. On Campus Marketing: Assisting with the development and implementation of on campus marketing campaign. The campus marketing intern will promote InternStaff’s products and services on campuses, communicate with students to learn how they promote products and services on campus, and develop a guidebook for how to best promote InternStaff on campus.
Responsibilities include:
Marketing intern will act as a brand ambassador for InternStaff on their campus and will:
Create and document a marketing plan for internstaff.com and target market (college students)
Engage key campus influencers & groups to promote & drive traffic to the website.
Draw together profiles and marketing strategies for individual customers
Present marketing plans to Management
Present new, creative & cost effective marketing ideas/strategies for inclusion in InternStaff’s overall marketing plan
Weekly phone meetings with the InternStaff team.
2. Direct Marketing:
Perform market research to determine potential clients and competitors. Intern will develop a database of potential client contacts. Contact & develop relationships with decision makers. Create and implement marketing plans to drive company awareness and job board sales.
Responsibilities include:
Develop & execute grassroots marketing campaigns to generate corporate exposure for InternStaff.com.
Track and evaluate marketing campaign results
Generate and qualify sales leads
Plan and evaluate lead generation methods
Create database of potential clients by industry and location
Contact prospective clients to introduce InternStaff and offer our services
Assist in creation of marketing materials
Weekly phone meetings with the InternStaff team.
3. Social Media Marketing:
Assisting with the development and implementation of online marketing campaign. The social media marketing intern will utilize online strategies such as social networking sites, forums, Facebook, and others to promote InternStaff
Responsibilities include:
Help develop and execute a comprehensive social media marketing plan to include:
Message Board/Forum Outreach - You will communicate with members of recruiting/ employment and related message boards and forums
Social Network Outreach - You will create and update profile pages daily within social network groups and sites such as (Facebook, YouTube, Myspace, Twitter, LinkedIn, Ning, etc.)
Blogger/Website updating - You will be responsible for updating InternStaff’s blog & reaching out to popular blogs and websites to encourage InternStaff's buzz, exchange links and increase visibility/ranking on the internet
Weekly phone meetings with the InternStaff team.
Copywriting:
Writes and distributes press releases and public service announcements pertaining to InternStaff. The Copywriting Intern also writes copy for articles, brochures, feature stories, newsletters, and Web pages. The intern will gain exposure to: media and marketing research, market demographic and psychographic profiling and competitive analysis.
Responsibilities include:
Writing, editing and producing copy ensuring that it clearly communicates a call-to-action, conversion and informational content to specific target audiences.
Writing news releases for all InternStaff events, including announcements and feature stories.
Writing copy for direct mail pieces, news articles, print advertisements, blogs and web pages.
Generating story ideas and writing stories, wrap-ups, and columns for InternStaff newsletter.
Proofreading copy for news releases, print advertisements, blogs and Web pages.
