Intern, Restoring Family Links Red Cross - Washington, DC
QUALIFICATIONS: SUMMARY: The American Red Cross Restoring Family Links program works with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement world wide to reconnect families that have been separated by conflict and disaster and supports the American Red Cross chapter network in delivering Restoring Family Links services to their local community.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Internship duties include:
-Revision of web-based training modules designed to facilitate understanding of RFL program guidance and protocols by local RFL caseworkers as well as how to work with RFL clients and promote RFL services locally.
-Review and revision of instructor led RFL casework course.
-Review and revision of RFL policy and guidance materials
-As needed. Assistance with Restoring Family Links casework and other projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate student working towards a degree in Education/Training, Adult Learning, Distance Learning, Journalism/Writing,or other field.
• Experience developing training or guidance materials.
• Experience with distance learning and delivering information and/or training via the Internet
• Knowledge of Adult Learning methods
• Computer skills, including working with e-learning software, especially “Articulate.” As well as Microsoft Office applications including Adobe Acrobat Professional

• Experience compiling input from various stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be responsible, mature, able to work independently, highly organized, able to handle multiple tasks at the same time, and meet deadlines.
